The company is a Milpitas-based and is one of the growing numbers of companies who offers plug-in conversion services. OEMtek has the caliber to outfit a Prius with a bigger battery pack and even potentially double its mileage, for a cost of $12,500 which will give a mileage more than 100 mpg hybrid car performance.
The company also claims the improvement will give the Prius up to 30 miles of all-electric driving. OEMtek is practically planning on converting about 100 per month by the end of 2008.
