Virtual Call Centers and the agents.

Friday, November 14th, 2008

I am a work from home mom. This is due to the fact that the corporation I work for is an Outsource Call Center vendor that contracts with many different companies encompassing a wide venue of jobs. Many companies are using virtual call center for there business. It saves the quite a lot of money by utilizing these sources only when needed. There is no need to have a full staff year round. I am glad for the progress in this area. It allows me to homeschool my son, and still contribute to the family income. It is an ideal situation for me. I am not alone in my opinion. There are many of us out there. Also, as this trend grows, people are becoming more aware of the extensive background check that must be performed in order to work from home. It should make people feel more secure about ordering products with a credit card. The standards are much higher for professional virtual call center agents. Also, some of these outsource vendors hire employees, some hire contractors. Either way, it is to the advantage of all concerned to utilize this service.

Employee Recognition Does Not Need to Cost Much

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Employee recognition is relatively cheap, yet it has a tremendously high payoff in terms of morale, reduction in staff turnover, and most importantly customer satisfaction. I believe part of the problem is that when you work with employees for a long time, it's hard to find creative ways to recognize them. Employee recognition is a tool that reinforces and rewards employees for positive actions, and encourages them to continue these behaviors in the future. You are able to reinforce the actions and behaviors you most want to see repeated. Employee recognition isn’t rocket science – it is an obvious thing to do. Despite the unquestioned benefits arising from employee recognition, one of the mysteries of the workplace is that recognition invariably is done badly, if done at all. Which employee wouldn't like to be honored for his continuous service in a company? Employee recognition is a proven management tool that can be used to dramatically improve workplace satisfaction and loyalty. Even a small gift can lift employee's motivation dramatically.

Storage Space

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Not only are we finding we are running out of space in our office but it looks like we are running out of space on our computer as well. Around about November each year we start moving all the files for the year into their respective file cabinets and get ready for the brand new year to start. We also do this on the computer so that everything will be organized according to year. Now that we are taking inventory of our space needs we need a document management system that can hold all of our past years on the computer as well.

If I blow over this quiz just the once, accomplishes that imply I experience to obtain it another time to purchase a different certification? I might prize it if any individual can shed a few illuminate on this!

Allowing Inventory Management Software To Work For You

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I have a habit of second guessing everything and that includes my inventory management software. I am forever thinking that the number I see in the system are wrong and that we have more stock then it is showing me. My business partner keeps telling me to put my energy into something else and to stop second guessing a very effective system. He is right I know but it is hard for me to trust a computer program, even with the serialized inventory system we have. In my day everything was counted by hand and I just think it is hard for me to let that go and grow with the times.

Motivate Your Workforce With Knowledge Management

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Find the right management style for your organization or group takes work. This is especially true for non-profit groups where much of the work is being done by volunteers. In this case you have little control over the worker because they are volunteers. A manager or leader under these conditions needs the right motivation factors to influence the volunteers to work and to accomplish the various tasks at hand. All of this is not an easy job. One style that will pay dividends is having the right information and using in combination with a knowledge management style and approach. This will help in motivating your volunteers.

Researching Lean Manufacturing Principles

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

I’ve been checking into Lean Manufacturing Principles for our company recently. I think it has potential to improve our efficiency, which is something we need badly if we’re going to survive.
I’ve been reading up all over the web on Lean Manufacturing Techniques. The adjustment process would be painful, but I think we can manage it.
With expenses rising every day, efficiency is absolutely critical.
I’ll be looking forward to your comments.

Getting updated with technology

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

In my small event management company I had limited staff. When my son joined my business, he offered to get some event management software for enabling Web-Based Event Management. I was not impressed at all as I had doubts about the working efficiency of the software. It was his zeal for the same that he downloaded some free versions for trial from the internet and explained me in details about its working and prepared a dummy conference planning checklist and worksheet with its help. It was really good to see the work of days being done in minutes and I was so impressed that I allowed him to invest in the latest software at once. Now we are able to take up larger events with our limited personnel and are very skillfully organizing the same. Thanks to my son, who I am sure will take my business to newer heights.
