Wednesday, March 18th, 2009The name of our town’s one and only beauty salon is officially, “Clarisse’s House of Beauty”, but it should be called “The Lonely Hearts Club”. At any time of day, any day of the week, you can stop in and there will be a woman pouring out her heart about the bum who did her wrong. Clarisse, who has been a listening ear for over thirty years, just calmly nods her understanding as she finishes a “do”, or stacks Beauty Salon Supplys. Over the years I believe Clarisse has fixed as many bad relationships as bad haircuts and knows more secrets than the FBI. But she would never share them - after all, would be bad for business.
