Thoughts On Document Management Solutions

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

I’ve recently become interested in Document Management Solutions.
Our content management system has grown unmanageable, so we need a better solution.
So I’ve been tasked with learning about Legal Document Management and choosing a preferred solution for our company.
I’d rather be on the golf course, naturally, but hopefully the effort will save enugh time down the line to make up for it.
Until next time.

Projection TV Reviews

Monday, August 11th, 2008

What site or magazine would you recommend to someone who is buying their first projection TV? I know little on the subject, other than the big screen HDTVs simply look amazing in Circuit City and I have been seriously considering splurging with our tax rebate check and getting one. I have heard some types are not acceptable for use with a video game system, while others can be used as a computer monitor among other things. Which types are these and do they differ greatly in price? I would like to be able to use our Xbox 360 with whatever TV we buy.

What is MultiPhoto/Video and why do I care?

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Well, you may not care but I do so I’m writing this about it, besides you may discover after reading this that you actually do care about MPV because it’s in the future of dvd cd duplication replication

To begin. the MultiPhoto/Video (MPV) specification is a collaborative effort between OSTA and the International Imaging Industry Association (I3A) that is currently under development. This specification will provide a standardized structure for still image digital photographs (JPEG, etc.) and video (eg. MPEG, AVI, etc.) stored on fixed and removable storage media, such as writable CD and DVD discs, flash memory cards and hard disk drives. This uniformity enables computer software and consumer electronics devices to more easily process collections of digital photographs and video and to play them back in the same way on any compatible device.  So now you know why I care and why you should care.

Choosing Great CD/DVD Duplication Software

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Before choosing any type of professional dvd software, it is important to make sure that you know which os (operating system) that you are using and how the software will compliment it.  Typically, there are different types of software for Macs or for Windows PCs.  Within this category are different cd duplication services options depending on the year of the PC as well as the OS that is used within it.  For example, if you have Windows XP, Vista or Mac OX, you might need to find dvd buring software that is compatible with this type of system.

Putting It All Together: Straight-Through

Monday, February 25th, 2008

In putting together a cat 5 cable, there are two types to keep in mind:  straight-through – which is a cable passing data directly from one end to another; and crossover – which connects two computers without the need for a hub or switch.  In the case of straight-through cables, this type of cat 5 cable is put together by cutting the wires nice and straight; then, strip an inch of insulation from the cable.  Follow that by untwisting the inner wires, then realigning them according to Telecommunications Industry Association standards.  Clip them to the same length, and attach the RJ-45 connector.

Getting Good DVD Software

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

Most of us own a computer with DVD capabilities. A DVD hold far more information than a regular CD and this is why it is the most common format today for storing movies. But using a DVD player on your computer is not always as simple as a regular DVD player and the software you use could have an effect on the quality of your playback. If you wish to record on to DVD’s then you will need to take this into account when purchasing your dvd software. Nero is a worldwide brand that produces easy-to-use software and isn’t too expensive. You can pick up Nero from around $30 but there are different versions so you will need to take a look at which features you require.

Be A Pro Filmmaker With Home Video Editing Software

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

It is marketed as home video editing software generally, but the truth is, you can use such software to a very great extent. In fact, you can even churn out films that are fit of a Hollywood release! Really, some of the better home video editing software (costlier too!) are packed with features that can make your videos look professional. You can remove all the unwanted parts and add a load of graphics and music to your ordinary video. This is creative expression at its best!

DVD X Player Software Bypasses The FBI Message

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

I really do need dvd x player software. If there’s one thing I hate more than anything when watching a DVD is waiting for that stupid FBI message that comes on every time. You can’t skip it because the player usually won’t let you. For that reason alone, I’m willing to spend a little bit more to get it.
