Graphire vs Graphire2
I’m finally getting rid of my old mouse tablet and getting a new one. I’ve had it for years now and it’s outlasted both an HP desktop PC and a Toshiba laptop computer. It still works ok but it’s just a bit small in size at 4×5.5 inches and I think getting a bigger one for my widescreen monitor would be great. It’s also got some gunk stuck to it that won’t come off and while it doesn’t get in the way of drawing on the tablet with the stylus, it’s not exactly aesthetically pleasing.
I’ve been looking at a few different replacement models, including the Adesso Cybertablet and the Wacom Graphire mouse & tablet. I thought about getting a Wacom Intuos, but I don’t think it will be worth it for me to shell out the extra money. I’m into graphic design, but I’m no professional, so I think a more economical model will do just fine. I think I’ve almost settled on the Graphire for sure, but I’m not exactly sure of the difference between the Graphire and Graphire2 models. The Graphire2 has a different shape at the base of the tablet, but is it also that it is bluetooth enabled? I wanted to order online, but I might have to head down to the computer store to ask a salesperson about it first.
