IT Is All About The Silver - Rare Coins
If you ever pick up a silver dollar or a dime, you will recognize the silver, but do you recognize the copper? Once upon a time our country used gold to trade for goods, however our country wanted to establish a currency system and began printing coins (hence our rare coins) however, there was a flaw in their process, the melting down of coins to keep the valuable metal. Eventually this problem was solved with the appearance of silver coins, the catch of course was, and the coins were not all silver. Copper was added to the coins to prevent people from melting them down to make jewelry or silver bars.
