An Unhealed Life Can Destroy You
Help from eating disorder clinics deal with the physical and emotional damage that unhealthy habits have caused. Patients at the clinics must learn constructive ways to deal with the challenges of life, rather than use food as a weapon against their own bodies. The first lesson that is learned is that food is not the enemy. Food is merely a substitute for dealing with, or rather avoiding, particular issue or situation. Once the person deals with the real issue, they are on their way to a full recovery and a productive life. Continuing to live an unhealed life will only magnify the problem because it will not go away.
