Prevalance of Pancreas Cancer

Considering that little is known about pancreas cancer, it is amazing how many people suffer from the disease. In the United States alone, doctors estimate that 25-35,000 new cases will be diagnosed every year, and in Europe that number doubles. European cases of pancreas cancer come it at over 60,000 every year. The prevalence of pancreas cancer seems to be highest in industrialized countries. This lends credence to the idea that it is related to working in factories. Currently, the United States and Europe have more diagnosed cases than the rest of the world combined.
